REQUEST FOR TENDER
CONSULTANCY SERVICES TO RECORD AND LIVESTREAM FIJI NATIONAL DISASTER AWARENESS WEEK
BACKGROUND
This consultancy is established for the purposes of recording and livestreaming Fiji National Disaster Awareness Week (NDAW) with the purpose of informing the 2023 Pacific Resilience Meeting Virtual Platform on enhancing the level of disaster preparedness among stakeholders and communities and anticipate reduction of damages and losses that may occur if a disaster strikes.
The Fiji NDAW overlaps with the dates of the 2023 PRM with the Fiji NDAW running from 12 – 18 October while the 2023 PRM is from 12 – 13 October, 2023. The Fiji NDAW aims to enhance the level of disaster preparedness amongst stakeholders and communities, and anticipate reduction of damages and losses that may occur if a disaster strikes which aligns well with the Framework for Resilient Development in the Pacific (FRDP) Goal 1. 6 National Disaster Management Offices are expected to participate including partners from within and outside of the region will be participating. Activities include simulation exercises and live drills.
The 2023 PRM will link in 15 national hubs from around the region to the Fiji national hub through a virtual platform with the opportunity to livestream or share recordings of the Fiji NDAW activities as a means to create awareness of disaster preparedness and responses. The undertaking aligns well with the 2023 PRM theme of ‘Our People, Our Strength: Securing our Pacific Future’ through learning from practical demonstrations of disaster preparedness and responses.
The consultant will work hand in hand with the PIFS PACRES and Resilience Team and the Fiji NDMO. The video recording will be livestreamed nationally and through the NDMO social media platforms as well as those of the PRP and the 2023 PRM Virtual Platform. All intellectual property rights will be jointly owned by Fiji NDMO and PIFS.
